Mandy Hansen, Chair 2017-2018

Appointed by the Real Estate Institute of BC in 2015

Mandy Hansen is presently the Principal of Insight Specialty Consulting, a project management and real estate strategy firm based in Coquitlam.  Previously, she was a Senior Associate for Ernst & Young, a Senior Portfolio Analyst for BC Housing and an Appraiser for BC Assessment.  Mandy carries her RI designation as a real estate professional from the Real Estate Institute of BC.  She has a Master of Science (Public Administration and Development) from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor of Business (Real Estate) and Diploma in Urban Land Economics from UBC.

Ramona Faust, Vice-chair 2017-18

Appointed by the Union of BC Municipalities in 2015.

Ramona is in her third term as the Regional District of Central Kootenay Director for Electoral Area E, which surrounds the City of Nelson. She has several years of experience writing and reviewing grant applications, most recently as a member of the Vancouver Foundation’s Environment Grant Advisory Committee. Outside of work, Ramona enjoys gardening, yoga, singing and spending time with her friends and family.

 

Jim Rempel

Appointed by the Minister of Finance in 2013

Jim Rempel is a REALTOR® and Co-President of Landmark Realty Corp in Abbotsford, a company he co-founded in 1991. His daily work involves marketing development projects and managing sales in bare land, residential and commercial properties. Jim has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®), as well as post-secondary accounting and management courses from Fraser Valley College. He has work experience in finance, accounting and construction and his hands-on experience in these professions have complemented his award winning real estate career. Jim holds positions of President, VP or Director in a multitude of strata, construction, investment and operating/ holding companies in Canada, United States and Costa Rica. Jim enjoys working in his shop, travelling, playing golf and hockey, and spending time with his wife, three sons and granddaughter.

Anna Warwick Sears

Appointed by the Minister of Finance in 2014

Anna is the Executive Director of the Okanagan Basin Water Board, where she has held a leadership role since 2006. She also serves as a member of the International Osoyoos Lake Board of Control, appointed by the International Joint Commission. Anna received a PhD in Population Biology from the University of California, Davis, and is keenly inspired to bring together environmental, social and economic goals to better the lives of BC residents. In her free time, Anna enjoys cooking, writing and gardening.

Robert Goertz

Appointed by the Minister of Finance in 2015

 Robert is a REALTOR® with Valhalla Path Realty.  He lives in Nelson, BC with his wife and daughter and considers himself extremely fortunate to be able to live and work in this picturesque small town surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of British Columbia. Prior to becoming a REALTOR® Robert pursued his interests in the visual arts as a painter and metalworker.  He is an avid runner, fitness enthusiast and enjoys travelling with his family.

 

Hanne Selby

Appointed by the BC Real Estate Association in 2016.

Hanne works as a real estate agent in Chilliwack and has served two terms on the BCREA Board. She has also served as president of the Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board and her local Kiwanis Club. When she isn’t selling real estate, Hanne enjoys mentoring new agents, volunteering in her community, cooking, sewing, reading and travelling with her family. She and her husband, a retired real estate agent, have two daughters and two young grandchildren. 

 

Roberta Stewart

Appointed by the Real Estate Council of BC in 2017.

Roberta is a partner at Heather Sadler Jenkins LLP. As a general solicitor, she practices law in the areas of residential and commercial property, wills and estate planning, estate administration, commercial loans, and corporate and business transactions. 

She and her husband enjoy camping, boating and fishing in the north and hiking throughout BC. Roberta is proud to be a marathon runner and has completed six marathons, including the Mount Robson marathon, and numerous half marathons. Roberta is an active member of the Prince George community as a member of the Rotary Club of Prince George Yellowhead and as a director of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce. She is also the Chair of the MS Society, BC & Yukon Division and a director of Partnerships British Columbia.
