Funding Criteria Review - July update

What's new?

Since January 2011 we have been undertaking a review of the Real Estate Foundation's funding criteria to achieve greater impact in fulfilling the organization's mandate and mission.

At the Foundation’s June 2011 strategy meetings, the Board of Governors approved the following grants program focus areas to be formally implemented in March 2012:

  • Built Environment
  • Fresh Water Sustainability
  • Sustainable Food Systems

These focus areas are in addition to support allocated to BC real estate industry organizations for real estate-specific public and professional education, research, and law and policy reform.

How will this affect grant applicants?

Over the next several months, the Foundation will develop underlying criteria that will apply to the three focus areas. Many of the kinds of projects that receive Real Estate Foundation grants currently will continue to be eligible under the new criteria to be announced in March 2012.
