REFBC’s Land Awards celebrate initiatives that demonstrate leadership, innovation and collaboration in sustainable land use in British Columbia. The awards highlight dynamic, forward-thinking people and organizations – leaders in creating more resilient, healthy communities and natural environments.

The awards celebrate and honour the non-profit organizations, private companies, and government bodies behind the initiatives, as well as highlighting the dynamic, forward-thinking people who make it all happen—leaders in creating more resilient, healthy communities and natural environments, and making BC a great place to live.

There are three Land Awards, which recognize the achievement of organizations in the non-profit, public and private sectors. There is also a Land Champion Award, which recognizes an individual’s achievements.

Each year, REFBC produces short videos about the Land Champion and the Land Awards finalists in each category – non-profit, public, and private. Past videos are available on REFBC’s YouTube channel.

The 2016 Land awards were presented at the Land Awards Gala on October 21, 2016 at the Rocky Mountaineer Station, in Vancouver. Photos from eth event are available on our Flickr page.
