The fifth annual Land Awards Gala was held on October 17, 2014 at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver. The inspiring and entertaining evening, hosted once again by MC David Beers, included a keynote speech from CBC anchor Peter Mansbridge, and presentation of four Land Awards.

The Winners

Public Sector: Agricultural Land Use Inventory Program – Ministry of Agriculture
Private Sector: Sustainable Land Care Education – Gaia College
Non-profit Sector: The Station – Cowichan Green Community Society

Land Champion: Gary Runka (1938-2013)
