The Real Estate Foundation thanks all the nominees for their excellent work in support of more sustainable land use across the province. The judges selected nine finalist projects initiated by non-profit, private, and public sector organizations to be profiled at the gala. Land Champion

Mark Angelo
The Real Estate Foundation of BC is pleased to announce that Mark Angelo is the recipient of the 2011 Land Champion Award. Internationally renowned river conservationist, speaker, paddler, teacher and writer, Mark is the Chair of the Rivers Institute at BCIT and the founder and Chair of both BC and World Rivers Day. He is the recipient of the Order of Canada, the Order of BC, and the United Nations Stewardship Award in recognition of his river conservation efforts both at home and abroad.
